Keep your leather goods clean and conditioned. Look here for quality Carr & Day & Martin, Passier and Albion products. Many manufacturers have their own cleaners and conditioners which work well on their saddles. Because there are several different tanning processes, not all cleaning products work well with all tack. We recommend glycerine soap or Hydrophane™ Lanolinised Saddle Soap for cleaning. For conditioning use pure neatsfoot oil or Hydrophane™ Leather Dressing. Passier™ products should be used on Passier™ saddles and strapgoods to maintain their warranty. Be sure not to over-condition your tack. Only apply conditioner to the rough side of the leather - the "back" or underside of your tack, unless otherwise specified by manufacturer, and allow it to soak in before applying again.
